John Kortenhaus, CFA

John is a financial professional with 34 years of experience in the financial services industry. He graduated from Southern Methodist University with a duel major in Finance and Real Estate. John has spent his career in Investment Banking, Asset Management and Commercial Real Estate Development.

In 2000, he achieved his goal of earning the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation ("CFA") from the CFA Institute. In addition, he holds licenses as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Real Estate Agent, and a Life and Health Insurance Agent.

John has a strong belief that the education system has failed many people by not preparing them for dealing with personal finances, and investments. Having had a successful career, John wants to pay it forward by helping people achieve their financial goals and the personal freedom that financial stability creates..

John is married, and lives in Plano, TX with his wife Min. Outside of work, he and his wife enjoy traveling throughout Asia. At home, he spends his time cooking and tending to a rose garden.
